Meet Megan

Hey, there! I’m Megan DeLong – the face & artist behind Meg Del Design! I'm a Wisconsin girl, (currently) living in Tennessee dreaming up the next furniture piece I can completely transform & refinish!

I started this journey in 2017, after quickly realizing the corporate world was everything I was not. I wanted connection & creativity, and little did I know this side-gig would give me exactly that! Meg Del Design is my happy place, my passion, and has made me the best version of myself.

On a typical day, you can find me rocking day-old sweats, holding my sweet baby boy in my arms. Between naps, I may be frantically working in the garage, prepping and painting! It's quite possibly the best combination… getting to love on our sweet boy, yet still having time to be creative. On the extra busy or tiring days, just relaxing with husband on the couch with a cup of tea in my hand makes me one happy girl.

So what can you expect on my site? It's a little slow moving these days as I soak in every moment as a first-time mama, but I love to share my painting and refinishing projects, processes, and tips with you! I also share DIY projects and a little home-renovation work sprinkled in. I hope you enjoy my blog as I share a little slice of my life, my work, & lessons learned along the way!

• I am married to the greatest man in the world; my best friend, unofficial business partner, and travel companion! We have been married since October of 2017 in Green Bay, WI where we met, fell in love, and all that sappy stuff.

• We were both born and raised in Wisconsin and together, we have lived in Green Bay, WI, San Diego, CA, Morgantown, WV, and now Clarksville, TN!

• We are now parents (WHAT!) to the sweetest boy in the world – Delmar Michael DeLong, born March 20, 2020! Our little family is my everything!

About Meg Del Design

• I am also mama to the laziest, most spoiled & personified oldie bulldog – Bronx. He provides endless entertainment you can witness first-hand in my Instagram stories.

• I have a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where I was a four-time student-athlete playing soccer! I love the game & still play as much as I can.

• In addition to all things creative & DIY, some of my other obsessions include traveling, food, coffee & tea. Basically, when I am not busy holding my baby boy, or creating with my hands, you can find me relaxing on the couch with a hot cup of coffee or tea, (or maybe an old fashioned at night)
